Editorial policy
This policy explains the standards behind every Xingbridge review and guide: how we stay independent, how affiliate income works, how we source products, and how we fix mistakes. It applies to all editorial content on the site.
Editorial independence
Our verdicts are ours alone. No manufacturer, distributor or advertiser sees a review before it is published, and none has any right to preview, edit or approve our copy. Scores come from our own hands-on testing against a consistent rubric, described on our how we test page. A product that disappoints earns a low score regardless of any commercial relationship, and we always publish genuine downsides — every product has them.
How affiliate relationships work
Some outbound links on Xingbridge are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and that income helps fund our testing and keep the site free to read. The boundary is absolute: commission has no bearing on whether we recommend a product, what score it receives, or how prominently it features. We do not raise a score, soften a criticism, or bury a flaw because a link pays. Full plain-language detail is on our affiliate disclosure page.
No pay-for-review
We do not accept payment, free products in exchange for coverage, or any other consideration in return for a review or a particular verdict. Sponsored posts and paid placements are not part of our editorial. If we ever publish clearly labelled commercial content, it will be marked as such and kept entirely separate from reviews and guides.
Product sourcing
We buy most equipment at standard retail prices, like any customer. Occasionally a manufacturer or distributor loans a unit for testing; when that is the case we disclose it within the review. A loan never buys influence — no preview, no approval, no kinder score — and loaned units are tested to exactly the same standard as ones we have purchased.
Accuracy & corrections
We aim to be accurate and fair, and to be specific where it helps a buying decision. We do not invent testimonials, certifications or star-counts, and we describe prices as ranges or approximate figures because retail pricing shifts constantly.
